What is Dyslexia?
Signs, symptoms and support for children and adults.
Dyslexia is a learning difference that can affect reading, spelling, maths and eye tracking. Without the right support, these challenges can make learning frustrating for both children and adults. If you have dyslexia, you may skip words, lines, or even whole paragraphs and can struggle to maintain focus.
Common Dyslexia Symptoms:
- Challenges with auditory and information processing
- Difficulties planning, organising, and sequencing
- Impaired motor skills and coordination
- Short-term memory issues and poor recall
- Trouble concentrating for long periods
- Reduced confidence or self-esteem if untreated
Cellfield’s specialised programme is designed to address these symptoms. We work with children and adults across New Zealand to strengthen the brain’s auditory, visual and motor pathways, improving reading skills and overall learning ability.
