“From a young age Drea has always been interested in books so it came as a surprise when we discovered her problems with reading, spelling and comprehension when she was 6 years old. She received one on one tutoring, however progress was slow. It was not until she was 8 years old that Drea was diagnosed with Irlen Syndrome. Her Irlen spectacles made a huge difference and upon the recommendation of David Wardell we investigated the Cellfield intervention. At first, it sounded “too good to be true”, however, the Cellfield intervention delivers.
Drea can now complete her homework without help and is an avid reader, often reading for pleasure. Her reading level and comprehension has improved dramatically. She has also improved in all her other subjects. She no longer requires a reader/writer or extra time in tests and exams. Both her visual processing and auditory processing has improved. Although she still requires Irlen tinted lenses, she no longer requires her remote microphone hearing aides for auditory processing! What was also interesting is changes in other non-academic areas. Dreas confidence is much improved, sports skills also better, she is less tired after school which is an indication that her brain is less stressed/more efficient in the classroom environment. We now have a motivated, confident, happy and less frustrated child.”
